This workshop is an update on the critical factors to success in using human tissues to develop novel therapeutics and clinical diagnostics. The workshop will cover the following areas: practical and regulatory issues relating to the acquisition of human tissues in the UK; the use of human tissue based assays in the drug and biomarker development process; plus the practicalities and requirements of bringing such assays into the clinic as diagnostic tests. The seminar brings together specialists from drug discovery to the clinic, and concludes with a panel discussion.
